GOA!!

Duration: 26th Jan to 29th Jan 2011.

Unfinished business always occupies a certain space in the mind and unsettles new business that comes ones way .
Have you ever been to Goa? is was one unfinished business for me till very recently. It is a question that would make me scratch my chin for a while, (reaction varies).. For a guy with average sensibilities like i , not having been to Goa for 24 long years (since birth)was INCOMPLETENESS. I have always loved traveling to new places and exotic locations. With a new sense of financial independence things are falling in place bit by bit.

My former MBA batch mates thought upon this idea and the mere mention of Goa set us chancing ourselves for what we all would remember as THE TRIP after the completion of it.

The actions unfurled with booking of tickets and continuous conference calls discussing each ones fantasies.

Cutting the elaborate travel plans i would mention ON-Arrival and after.

A drive from Panjim to Calangute set the tone. As we neared the mouth of Calangute the riddle named GOA was now fathomable. As Typical & cliche as it can get we all mummer ed under our breath and in jest called out KYA CROWD hai bey!!

I had never seen such beautiful women (in such large numbers) . The rest of the trip we were in awe of the women. We all nodded in unison when i cried out "Goa has to be a yearly pilgrimage from now"!

We had a 2 bedroom flat to ourselves with a swimming pool..that was the best part.

Needless to say that we were all on a BEER binge, visited some famous places like Anjuna Fort, baga beach, curlies, etc played water sports, experienced Panjim cruiser ride, shopped, not to miss out witnessed the unraveling of Femina Calender launch, ate awesome food!!

Against the silhouette of sun kissed beaches, sunsets & enigmatic women Goa was a testimony to the unflattering and unwavering friendship that we shared and continue to do so..perhaps that made it extra special!

As i write this a sudden wave of nostalgia fills my heart & urges me to RELIVE the trip :)
